This was the BEST DAY! My daughter D'nea & Ronnie Stanley were married on March 27, 2008 in Austin, TX. It was a small ceremony and there was no reception. So my mom, D'nea's grandmother decided we needed to have a reception for them at her home church in Deville,LA.
So with much planning the reception/ gift card shower was held at Longview Baptist Church on Saturday, May 17,2008.
It was a perfect day, the weather was beautiful and the bride and groom were so adorable.
We decorated in pink and featured all kinds of desserts to eat.
I made a shadow box and a scrapbook of their wedding pictures for all to see.
There were about 45 people in attendance.
My wonderful friends Cheryl, Connie and Kelly and that made the day so special for me.
Also, D'nea's great- grandmother Gertie Tyler (dad's grandmother) who is 93 years old was in attendance and that was really special.
I must say a BIG THANK YOU to my Mom,and my sister -in law, Felecia for the wonderful job they did on the decorations and my cousin Tammy for providing food and staying to help with the clean up. Also, thanks to Aunt Marge and Kristi for the goodies they provided.
I am so blessed to have a wonderful loving family and friends. As time goes by I think we all begin to realize that there is NOTHING more important in our lives than God and Family.

Okay I have fallen in love with Mini Books. I made 16 of them for my co - workers and friends for Christmas. Here are pcitures of me with each of them and their book.I have also made numerous baby gift books and my newest is for a girls softball team.I have made over 30 of these books and I just LOVE them. They make great gifts and can be personalized.
I'll post the directions soon if you want to make your own.
