Saturday Fun

I had a great time cropping with my friends this Saturday. There were 6 of us and it was great. We had the best food and a special surprise of fresh perch that Wayne cooked for us. THANKS WAYNE!!! You rock!!!
I spent my Saturday powercropping so I could have some pages ready for Scrapfest in February. I did 20 pages - Snow in toledo, Oh, Christmas with Caiti and Ian, Ian's college graduation, Brandon's preschool and Kindergarten pages ( he is 19 now) I will get him caught up eventually.
I also decided this weekend to downlad the new software for the Cricut. It looks really cool but I haven't tried cutting with it yet. I'll get back to the blog and let you know how it goes. The 3 cool things I like so far with it is that you can Weld (connect) words together in any font and you can create pages and save them for cutting later which is really cool. You can also see all the cartridges and what they do before you buy them. You can't cut them but you can see on the screen what they would look like.
Well I have to go now but I'll be back later in the week with more news!

Weekend Fun

Weekend Adventures - January 19 - 21, 2008
We headed out Saturday moring at 7:30 AM and it was about 28 degrees and there was even snow in Alexandria but we had a mission!
Cheryl and I picked up Brenda in Alexandria and then traveled to Lafeyette, LA to the Grand Opening of a new scrapbook store. We met Connie there, she was already in line with about 30 other people. We stood outside in the very cold weather for about 30 minutes to be one of the first 80 people in the store.
We made it in and received a cool goodie bag along with snacks. They had make and takes and plenty of eye candy. But it was a bit crowded.
The new store can be found here: http://www.simplyscrappinstore.com/
Next we headed to our favorite store in Lafeyette, "Treasured Memories":http://www.trmemories.com/index.html
We had gift certificates to spend so we had a blast.
Next, we headed to Johnny Carinios for some much needed food so we could shop some more. http://www.carinos.com/
Then we went to Marshall's and got Cheryl's flavored coffee Carmel Kiss.
Hobby Lobby was next on the list and finally the drive through at Starbucks so we could make the ride home.
We got to Alexandria around 5 Pm and dropped off Brenda and then Cheryl and I went to Sam's so she could get another table and chairs for cropping this weekend.
Of course we had to stop by Michels and finally we were headed back to Natchitoches. We got home around 7PM and I was so tired. Scrapbook shopping is hard work!
Sunday I went to Cheryl's and we spent about 6 hours re-organizing her scrapbook room. I wish I had taken before and after pictures because the new room looks great and I think she can actually find her stuff. We both decided we don't need to spend any more money shopping for supplies. :)
I spent my day off yesterday in my scrapbook room cleaning up and getting some pictures and papers together for the scrapbooking event at Cheryl's this weekend.
Stay tuned for pictures!

New Year
I really want to do a better job of keeping up with my blog. I hope to use it to share with my family and scrapbook friends.
I am so blessed in my life to have a wonderful husband, children and family. My scrapbook friends have become part of my life and they are my support system.
My goal is to get some of my pictures scanned to share and use some of the new features here in Blogger to share!
Stay tuned for upcoming layouts by me.
