Weekend Fun

Weekend Adventures - January 19 - 21, 2008

We headed out Saturday moring at 7:30 AM and it was about 28 degrees and there was even snow in Alexandria but we had a mission!

Cheryl and I picked up Brenda in Alexandria and then traveled to Lafeyette, LA to the Grand Opening of a new scrapbook store. We met Connie there, she was already in line with about 30 other people. We stood outside in the very cold weather for about 30 minutes to be one of the first 80 people in the store.

We made it in and received a cool goodie bag along with snacks. They had make and takes and plenty of eye candy. But it was a bit crowded.
The new store can be found here: http://www.simplyscrappinstore.com/

Next we headed to our favorite store in Lafeyette, "Treasured Memories":http://www.trmemories.com/index.html
We had gift certificates to spend so we had a blast.

Next, we headed to Johnny Carinios for some much needed food so we could shop some more. http://www.carinos.com/
Then we went to Marshall's and got Cheryl's flavored coffee Carmel Kiss.

Hobby Lobby was next on the list and finally the drive through at Starbucks so we could make the ride home.
We got to Alexandria around 5 Pm and dropped off Brenda and then Cheryl and I went to Sam's so she could get another table and chairs for cropping this weekend.
Of course we had to stop by Michels and finally we were headed back to Natchitoches. We got home around 7PM and I was so tired. Scrapbook shopping is hard work!

Sunday I went to Cheryl's and we spent about 6 hours re-organizing her scrapbook room. I wish I had taken before and after pictures because the new room looks great and I think she can actually find her stuff. We both decided we don't need to spend any more money shopping for supplies. :)

I spent my day off yesterday in my scrapbook room cleaning up and getting some pictures and papers together for the scrapbooking event at Cheryl's this weekend.

Stay tuned for pictures!
